KKTIX: what to prepare before you buy
On KKTIX the event page decides almost everything: whether you need an account, how you pay and how you get the ticket. Create the account and verify your phone early, then read the event page for the rest.
Who this is for
Anyone buying a show whose official ticket page uses KKTIX. The steps below are KKTIX’s general help pages. KKTIX’s own help says the options depend on each event, so read the event page as well.
Steps
1. Open the organiser’s event page and match the artist, venue, date and ticket type. 2. Check whether the event requires a KKTIX account. KKTIX says this depends on the event page. An account also keeps your orders in one place. 3. Verify your mobile number in the account. Choose the right country code first. 4. At checkout, choose how to get the ticket and how to pay. For a card, enter the number, the expiry date and the three digits on the back, then wait while it is authorised. Do not click anything during that step.
If the verification code does not arrive
For numbers from Malaysia (+60), Singapore (+65), Hong Kong (+852), Macau (+853) and China (+86), KKTIX sends the code by WhatsApp, not by SMS. The number must already have a WhatsApp account. For other numbers, check the country code and the number, move somewhere with a better signal, and turn off call or SMS blocking apps and Do Not Disturb. If nothing works, KKTIX’s own advice is to use another phone or number.
If the card is refused
KKTIX lists these causes: the bank’s system is busy or the 3-D Secure check failed; the card details are wrong, expired or not activated; the card limit is reached. Try again, try another network, try another card, or ask your bank why it refused.
Getting the ticket
KKTIX has four ways: by post, at the venue, at a FamilyMart FamiPort kiosk, or as an e-ticket. Not every event offers all four. FamiPort: NT$30 per order at the counter, at most 4 tickets per order. At the kiosk you enter the ID or passport number on the account and an 8-digit collection number. Venue: on the day only. Bring the order number and the buyer’s original photo ID. A passport is accepted. Copies and screenshots are not. E-ticket: if you bought without signing in, KKTIX emails your QR code; for member purchases, open My Tickets on the website or Tickets in the app, unless the event requires the app. Staff may refuse a screenshot, so open the live code.
Exceptions
Read your event’s refund, exchange and re-entry rules before buying. If you choose venue collection you cannot switch to another method later.
