THE SHORT ANSWER

Taipei Arena: getting there, getting in and what to bring

Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋) is reached from Exit 2 of Taipei Arena MRT station on the green Songshan–Xindian line. Here is how to get there by MRT, bus or YouBike, the venue rules for every concert, and what to know about lockers and parking.

Check the venue name on your ticket

Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋, address 南京東路四段2號, Songshan District) is not the same place as Taipei Dome (臺北大巨蛋), a separate venue at 忠孝東路四段515號. Both host big concerts, so check the venue printed on your ticket and on the ticket page before you set off. The arena’s own transport page asks visitors to use public transport on concert days, because the area gets crowded and traffic jams can make you late.

By MRT: Taipei Arena station, Exit 2

Take the Songshan–Xindian line (the green line, line 3) to Taipei Arena station (台北小巨蛋站) and use Exit 2, which brings you straight to the venue. From other lines, change to the green line; Taipei Metro’s route map shows the transfer stations. Expect crowds at the station after the show and allow extra time.

By bus or YouBike

The bus stop is 南京敦化路口(小巨蛋) at the Nanjing East Road and Dunhua North Road crossing. Many routes stop there, including 33, 262, 275, 277, 672, 905 and 敦化幹線 on Dunhua North Road, and 46, 282, 288, 306, 307, 南京幹線 and 棕10 on Nanjing East Road; check the direction you need. YouBike bikes can be returned at the Taipei Track and Field Stadium station (on Dunhua North Road) or the 社教館 station (on Bade Road).

Driving and parking

The arena has its own car park on B2 (entrance on Dunhua North Road) and a motorcycle park on B1 (entrance on Nanjing East Road), run by 中興嘟嘟房. The arena lists cars at NT$40 an hour on weekdays and NT$60 an hour on holidays, and motorcycles at NT$20 per entry per day. It warns that during big events the car park can fill up early. Other public car parks nearby include the Taipei Track and Field Stadium, Taipei Gymnasium, Songshan Sports Center and Beining Road car parks.

Venue rules for every concert

Taipei Arena’s entry rules apply to every show: no smoking anywhere, no eating or drinking in the seating area except bottled water, and no alcohol. Do not jump during shows; the second and third floors have stepped seating, so people there must not stand or stomp, and children 110 cm tall or shorter cannot enter the third-floor seats. No dangerous items or pets (guide dogs excepted), and no photos, video or audio recording during the show without the organiser’s consent. Each organiser can add stricter rules, so read your event page too.

Lockers: few, and not guarded

The arena has lockers run by a contracted operator (收多易), but they are only for storage: the arena takes no responsibility for what you leave, valuables should stay with you, and perishable, flammable or dangerous items are not allowed. Rental terms and prices follow the operator’s own rules on site. Organisers such as Live Nation Taiwan warn that there are only a few lockers on concert days, so travel light.
