To and from the airport
Taoyuan Airport: Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station, then the Blue Line east to BL21 with no further change. Songshan Airport: Brown Line to Nangang Exhibition Center, then two stops west on the Blue Line. High-speed rail stops at Nangang, an 11-minute walk away.

The Blue Line runs straight back with no transfer, and the Airport MRT starts at Taipei Main.
Trade-off: Nine or ten stops, roughly 20 minutes once you are on a train.
